The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) is an organization founded in 1952 to promote mathematical research, applications of mathematics to industry and the exchange of technical information. In 2007, the society contains over 10,000 members and publishes 14 journals, whose contents are available electronically (full-text access being restricted to subscribers).
