Mathematical Sciences Publishers (or MSP) is a not-for-profit academic publishing company, incorporated in California, and run from the University of California at Berkeley, and the University of Warwick, UK. It was formed in 2005 from Geometry & Topology Publications, with the aim of publishing and disseminating high-quality mathematical research journals and monographs as freely as possible, and at the lowest possible cost.
MSP is the owner of Geometry and Topology, Algebraic and Geometric Topology, the Geometry and Topology Monographs series, Communications in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, the Journal of Mechanics of Materials and Structures, and Algebra and Number Theory. It also publishes (but does not own) the Pacific Journal of Mathematics.
The board of directors consists of John B. Bell, Joan Birman, Bill Casselman, Alexandre Chorin, David Eisenbud, John Etnyre, Carol Hutchins, Rob Kirby, Haynes Miller, Walter Neumann, Robert Oliver, Bjorn Poonen, Brian Quigley, Colin Rourke, Brian Sanderson, Martin Scharlemann, Charles Steele, Marie-Louise Steele, Ron Stern, Martha Tucker and Alan Weinstein.
