The "Price per article" of a journal is data taken from www.journalprices.com. It is defined as the price of the journal in 2006, divided by the average number of articles in that journal per year over the period 2000-2005.

More explanation of the precise definition of these terms can be found here. In particular the price of the journal is sourced from Ulrich's International Periodical Directory, while the number of articles in the journals are obtained from the ISI Journal Citation Reports.

Neither of these two services are free; however since these two numbers are effectively combined into a quotient, the process can't be inverted to find the original data. [comment: Discuss!]

Price per article has data type Type:Float, but it should really be a currency. This is a problem with SMW 0.4; a workaround is probably possible.
