The Eigenfactor score of a journal is an estimate of the percentage of time that library users spend with that journal. It is taken from www.eigenfactor.org, where the eigenfactor is calculated using citation data from Thompson Scientific's Journal Citation Reports. The algorithm for calculating the eigenfactor is similar to the PageRank algorithm Google uses to rank websites.

Details about how the calculation works can be found at the eigenfactor page. The details are also available in PDF format.

Eigenfactor has data type Type:Float.
