The Article Influence of a journal is taken from www.eigenfactor.org. It is a measure of a journal's prestige based on per article citations and is comparable to the Impact Factor published by the Institute of Scientific Information (now part of Thomson). The Article Influence of a journal is related to its Eigenfactor; the latter is a measure of the overall value provided by all of the articles published in a given journal in a year, whereas the former is measure of a journal's prestige based on per article citations.
